Terms

The agreement is made in the conversation.

These terms explain how a quote becomes an order, what we agree before work begins and what happens if plans change.

When an order is agreed

A conversation, an enquiry or a website price is not an order by itself. An order begins when we agree the design, price, delivery cost and date with you in writing, and receive the agreed payment.

We may decline a request if the date is not possible, the brief asks us to copy someone else's work, or we cannot make a piece we would be proud to send.

Payment

For local custom orders, the deposit is 50% of the agreed total. It lets us buy materials and reserve the time to make the piece. The remaining balance is due on delivery, after the piece is in your hands.

For an overseas sender, payment is due in full before dispatch because the sender will not be there to receive the piece. We send a photograph of the finished piece before it leaves the studio.

Handmade variation

Every piece is shaped by hand. Photographs, colour references and product images guide the work, but they are not a promise of an exact copy. We agree the important details with you before work begins and make the finished piece faithfully to that brief.

Delivery

We agree delivery timing with you rather than assigning it automatically. Delivery in Colombo is charged at cost and confirmed before you pay. You are responsible for providing a delivery address and contact details that are accurate enough for the courier or recipient to be reached.

Changes and cancellation

Before work begins, you can change the colours, size, date or card message without charge. Once we begin making the piece, the deposit is non-refundable because the materials and labour have been committed to an order made for one person.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms removes rights that apply to you under Sri Lankan law. If something arrives damaged, materially differs from the agreed brief or is otherwise unsatisfactory, read our Refund Policy or contact us directly so that we can put it right.
